Supermarkets and online shopping
Use e-Kalathi to compare the products and pack sizes you need. Before an online order, check the seller, dispatch country, branch coverage, minimum basket and delivery date. These are shopping suggestions, not guaranteed delivery times or cheapest-chain rankings.
Malls and opening hours
MYMALL lists retail hours Monday–Saturday 10:00–20:00 and Sunday 11:00–19:30; public holidays have exceptions. Restaurant and entertainment hours are listed separately.
Larnaca has Metropolis Mall, whose directory lists shops, a supermarket, dining and entertainment. Check the current directory before choosing a venue.
IKEA: stores and services
IKEA’s first Cyprus store opened in 2007. Its current store page lists the Nicosia store in Strovolos and the Limassol Plan & Order Point. Check stock and collection options before travelling.
Delivery is priced by order weight and postcode, with district surcharges. The shopping basket provides an indicative price after you enter your postcode.
IKEA arranges assembly through an independent provider. Its page lists a €30 minimum; for purchases above €300, assembly is 10% of the value of products requiring assembly, plus district surcharges. Check the current price list.
Imports and customs
VAT applies to online goods imported from outside the EU regardless of value; it may be collected at checkout or delivery. The rate depends on the goods.
Since 1 July 2026, the €150 duty exemption has ended. Qualifying distance-sale consignments up to €150 attract temporary €3 duty per tariff item type, not per unit quantity, with trade-agreement exceptions. Above €150, normal customs tariffs apply. Check seller and carrier charges. A European website address alone does not tell you where goods are dispatched from.
