Before buying, compare domestic data, the roaming data cap, international-call inclusions, contract term, activation charges and the price after promotions. Calls from Cyprus to foreign numbers are a separate consideration from using your phone while roaming.
Roaming in the EU
Roam Like at Home generally applies to occasional travel in the EU/EEA using a qualifying subscription from your country of residence or stable links. Calls, texts and data are charged at domestic rates, subject to fair-use conditions. Unlimited or low-cost data plans may have a separate roaming data limit. Permanent use abroad can lead to surcharges.
The rules concern terrestrial mobile networks. Satellite connections on ships or aircraft are excluded; special-rate numbers may cost extra. UK roaming inclusions depend on the operator. Check your plan rather than assume a UK or non-EU SIM includes Cyprus.
Practical setup
Ask the provider to confirm address coverage, required identity/address documents, installation date and the full contract price. For remote work, test your connection and consider a mobile backup. These are planning suggestions, not performance guarantees.
